In Irish Life we aim to provide the market leading Underwriting service across all stages in the application process.
Initial Underwriting
By availing of our direct to customer underwriting proposition you can save time & improve the accuracy of applications by having the customer complete the medical questions at a time that suits them, leaving you to focus on the value added aspects of advice. As a result customers can now submit applications 24 hours a day with no need for ink signatures & you can expect to have 60% of your customers to have their cover accepted at the point of sale.
If the application is not automatically accepted at point of sale then it is referred to our Underwriting department and will be actioned within 6 hours & at that stage 75% of all plans are accepted at standard rates. These cases are also fully paperless and progress can be tracked immediately on your pipeline from the time of submission.
Underwriting Medical Requirements
Our aim is to action applications with returned medical or financial evidence within 48 hours of receipt.
Large Case Team
For cases where the sum assured exceeds €2M Life Cover we assign a dedicated senior Underwriter to look after each case.
Once the case is submitted your dedicated Underwriter will review the case & contact you with a full break down of the requirements needed & will step you through the expected process. That Underwriter will look after all aspects of underwriting this application & will be your point of contact through to acceptance.
Urgent Underwriting
We offer a 3 hour service for urgent cases where all the Underwriting Requirements have been received and we are in a position to make a decision.
