Cystitis

This is an infection of the bladder which can be viral or bacterial causing inflammation of the lining of the bladder. This can cause urinary frequency and pain on urinating. The condition is common in women, and isolated mild attacks are usually due to minor infection. Attacks are less common in males and investigations are usually required if attacks are recurrent.

Specified illness cover
Normal rates where attacks are acute and a complete recovery has been made.
For chronic/recurrent attacks - female life will be normal rates/+50% upwards. Male lives refer to underwriting.

Income protection
Normal rates where attacks are acute and a complete recovery has been made.
For chronic/recurrent attacks - female life +50%; male lives refer to underwriting.

Hospital cash cover, accident cover, contribution cover
Normal rates where attacks are acute and a complete recovery has been made; otherwise cover will be declined.
