Huntington’s disease is a rare genetic brain disorder, it is a hereditary condition. The main areas of function affected are physical, emotional and intellectual. Symptoms generally appear between the ages of 30 and 50 and can include impaired coordination, uncontrolled movements, loss of intellectual faculties and emotional disturbance. Currently there is no form of treatment. Children of an affected parent have a 50-50 chance of developing the disease.

Facts:
Approximately 5-10% of people have symptom onset before the age of 20 and 10% have onset after age 60.
