Pulmonary artery surgery may be carried out for some disorders to the pulmonary artery, including pulmonary atresia (no opening) and aneurysm (dilation of the pulmonary artery wall caused by swelling). A claim can be made if the life insured undergoes open heart surgery involving the surgical division of the breast bone to replace the diseased pulmonary artery with a graft.

Life cover
Within six months of surgery, postpone. Thereafter +100% to +150% depending on the time elapsed since surgery and taking any post-surgery complications into account. Cover will be declined if the condition has not been surgically treated.
Specified illness cover, income protection, hospital cash cover, accident cover, contribution cover
Cover will be declined.
